Tongariro Crossing - November 25, 2008

While Amy and I were on our big 10-day camping tour of New Zealand, we stopped to camp in Tongariro National Park and decided to tramp a distance up the Tongariro Crossing track. We parked at the Ketahi trailhead and set off up Mt. Tongariro towards the Ketahi Hut. It was straight uphill and one heck of a workout, but the views when we broke above treeline were more than worth all the sweat and exhaustion. I grabbed some photos, we caught our breaths, and then headed back downhill to the campervan.
