Titirangi - March 15, 2008

My first tramping day trip in New Zealand! We took the bus to Titirangi (west Auckland on the north side of Manukau Harbour) and then walked a 2-hour or so loop from town down to Titirangi Beach and back. After a break in town for coffee and snacks, we realized we had another 45 minutes to kill until the next bus so we decided to also tramp up Mt. Atkinson for the view. It was a fun tramp overall and even better I finally got to get out to a different section of Auckland than the CBD!
