Blessed

Once in awhile a woman comes along
Who by her presence gives life a new song
She redefines all thoughts of beauty and grace
Simply by watching a smile light her face

Even when storms come and tears fill her eyes
Frustrations drown hope and only leave whys
She digs in her heels, fights on and perseveres
Inspires others by conquering her fears

All those who meet such a woman are blessed
In my life there's one of whom I'll attest
That on her I know I can ever depend
For she, in all ways, personifies "friend"
